Project title: Tackling the residual transmission of Plasmodium falciparum during the dry season in malaria hyper-endemic area of Faladié, Mali.

Biography:

A scientist background, I completed my PhD in Entomology at Aix Marseille Université, France. Post-doctoral researcher in MRTC at USTTB. I'm currently group leader of the entomology sub-unit at the MRTC. We support the malaria team to understand the interaction between host, vector, and Plasmodium parasite.

Investigator and coordinator of the entomological aspect of the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) funded project entitled "Clinical evaluation of Artesunate + Amodiaquine+ Atovaquone-Proguanil tri-therapy for malaria treatment in African children". Principal investigator in the Anti-vec project entitled "The impact of feeding method on Anopheles mosquito midgut microbiota and Plasmodium falciparum infection rates". Principal investigator and project manager: TWAS/UNESCO project entitled "Aedes mosquitoes, potential vectors of arboviruses in Mali". My long-term goal is to establish a research team focusing on emerging and re-emerging vector-borne infectious diseases of medical importance at our research center in Mali.
