Project title: Impact of Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) on Malaria Morbidity, Anaemia, and Antimalarial Drug Utilisation in the Jasikan Municipality in the Oti Region of Ghana
Biography:
Dr. Courage Edem Ketor is currently the Head of Pharmacy and a Senior Specialist Pharmacist working with the Ghana Health Service at Jasikan Municipal Hospital, Oti Region, Ghana.
He obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degrees from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana in 2011 and 2020 respectively. He holds a Membership (MGCPharm) and Fellowship (FPCPharm) from the Ghana College of Pharmacists and West African Postgraduate of Pharmacists in Clinical Pharmacy respectively. He has participated in professional development courses in clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics (PMX Africa, OAU), Antimicrobial Stewardship (Africa CDC), and "The Role of Diagnostics in Antimicrobial Resistance Response" (LSHTM). He also holds an MSc in Medical Leadership from the Lancaster University which he completed in 2021. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Public Health (Epidemiology and Disease Control track) at the Fred N. Binka School of Public Health at the University of Health and Allied Sciences. His research interests are in infectious diseases including, malaria and HIV/AIDS, epidemiology, pharmacovigilance, drug use, Pharmacoeconomics, and snakebites.
