Biography:
Tah Calvino Fomboh is a Resident Laboratory Technician for Clinical Trials at LAPHER Biotech, Biotechnology Center, University of Yaoundé I, and the Deputy Laboratory Manager of LAPHER Biotech. He holds a professional master’s degree in Public Health Biotechnology from the University of Yaoundé I and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Biochemistry at the same institution. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the Catholic University for Central Africa, Yaoundé.
Mr. Calvino also serves as a part-time lecturer at EXHIST Yaoundé and the Laboratory Manager at the Fobang Institutes, Yaoundé. He is the Data Collector’s Supervisor for the passive cohort in the ongoing PMC Plus Project in Cameroon. With over 18 scientific research publications to his name, he is a trained CDC molecular scientist specializing in the utilization of molecular techniques to monitor antimalarial drug-resistant parasites, a skill he acquired at CIGASS-UCAD, Dakar, in 2022. Calvino has a great passion for molecular diagnostics, with an emphasis on bioinformatics and molecular epidemiology.
