University of Health and Allied Sciences, from September 27 to October 1, hosted a scientific writing workshop organised by the Malaria Research Capacity Development Consortium (MARCAD) for 15 fellows at the Volta Serene Resort in Ho. UHAS is a member of the consortium, which comprises five African and three European partners.
In his welcome presentation to participants, Professor Oumar Gaye, Director of MARCAD, hinted that due to the successful implementation of the MARCAD 1 programme, the consortium has been selected by its funding partners to continue with the second phase of the programme, known as MARCAD-Plus. He said, the accomplishments of MARCAD fellows and the consortium’s implementation of innovative strategies that have chalked many successful stories in different countries, were the key reasons for the extension. He added that the “indicators are very excellent, hence the approval of MARCAD-Plus, which will now include the area of Neglected Tropical Disease (NTDs).” Read all in https://www.uhas.edu.gh/
