Project title: Facilitators and barriers to adherence to the test, treat, and track strategy for control of malaria in pregnancy among prescribers in the Volta Region.
Biography:
Ms Paulina Nneka Adoba is a Senior Nursing Officer with a specialization in Public Health. She currently works with the Ghana Health Service at the Ho Municipal Health in the Family Health Unit in addition to being the Malaria Focal Person for the municipality.
She attended the Ho Nursing Training College from 2005 to 2008 where she obtained a diploma in Nursing. From there, she worked as a Staff Nurse at the Volta Regional Hospital (now Ho Teaching Hospital) and the Hohoe Municipal Hospital.
She attended the University of Health and Allied Sciences from 2014 to 2016 and obtained a BSc in Public Health (Health promotion), after which worked at the Biakoye District Health Directorate as the Head of the Health Promotion unit and the malaria focal person of the district. In 2018, she was transferred to her current position at the Ho Municipal Health Directorate. Additionally, she holds a certificate in project management from University of Washington (2019). She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Disease Control at the University of Health and Allied Sciences, UHAS.Her research interests are in malaria and Infection prevention and control (IPC).
